Chevy GMC C20/C30 1971-1991 Complete Lowering & Towing Air Ride Suspension System Kit
Get a rear suspension setup engineered around towing, not just dropping the truck — this 1971-1991 C20/C30 kit runs a parallel 4-link rather than a triangulated one, with all mounting hardware included, so the rear geometry is built to handle load-bearing work as much as it lowers the ride height.
Front air spring mounts are available weld-on or bolt-on, though the bolt-on route requires drilling — worth knowing before you commit to that option. Out back, rear air spring mounts weld on and are positioned under and at the rear of the axle to maximize suspension travel, paired with a rear parallel weld-on 4-link setup that comes with all mounting hardware included, so you're not sourcing bolts and brackets separately. All four corners run matched 2600 series air springs, giving the system one consistent spring spec rather than mixing sizes front to rear.
Powering the system is a 1/3 HP, 100% duty cycle compressor with a 40 amp relay, feeding a 3-gallon, 5-port stainless steel tank rated to 1000 PSI. A non-electric Active Air pneumatic paddle switch with a 150 PSI lighted gauge handles control, backed by a 120 PSI pressure switch that keeps air topped up automatically. A 50 ft roll of 1/4" air hose and a complete fitting pack, tank drain plug included, round out the kit.
Given the scope of the rear 4-link swap and the drilling required for a bolt-on front, we strongly recommend a professional installer with the right equipment handle this build.
