Product Description
1958-1964 Chevy Biscayne Complete Lowering Air Ride Suspension System Kit
Find the same True Suspension air ride engineering built for the Impala and Bel Air, now fitted to the 1958-1964 Chevrolet Biscayne, the base trim of Chevy's full-size lineup from this era, sharing the same chassis platform, so it drops and rides exactly like its higher-trim siblings. A full front-to-back system, it lays your Biscayne out at a show and rides comfortably on the highway, all from one integrated setup.
Up front, a set of front air spring mounts (upper mounts bolt-on, lower mounts weld-on or optional bolt-on, hardware not included) pairs with a front shock relocation kit that includes upper mounts, lower mounting bolts, and a pair of gas-charged shocks necessary because dropping the front this far means relocating your shocks to keep them functioning correctly. Out back, rear air spring mounts bolt on up top and weld on at the bottom. The setup uses 2500 D2 series air springs paired with 2500 D1 series air springs, matched front and rear to this chassis's geometry.
Powering the system is a 1/3 HP compressor rated for 100% duty cycle, backed by a 40 amp relay and a 3-gallon, 5-port stainless steel air tank rated to 1000 PSI max. Control comes through an Active Air pneumatic paddle switch controller, non-electric, with a 150 PSI lighted gauge (white or black face depending on stock), giving you slow, smooth front-to-back control without complex electronics. A 90-120 PSI pressure switch maintains constant air automatically. The kit includes a 50 ft roll of 1/4" OD air hose and a complete 1/4 tube fitting pack to connect everything, including a drain plug for the air tank (fittings may vary depending on stock).
Given the complexity of a full classic car air ride install, we strongly suggest a professional installer install this kit.
