Chevy GMC C20 C30 73-91 Bolt-On Air Ride Suspension with 4-Link Kit, 2WD
Heavier trucks need suspension built for heavier loads, and that's exactly what this kit is engineered around: a complete air ride system for 1973-1991 Chevy and GMC C20/C30 pickups, built to handle the higher payload and towing demands these 3/4-ton and 1-ton platforms are actually used for.
Four 2600 series air springs form the core of the system, matched at all corners and sized to work within the load capacity these bigger trucks carry. Up front, air spring mounts are available weld-on or bolt-on (hardware for the bolt-on option not included). Out back, a bolt-on heavy-duty triangulated 4-link replaces your factory rear suspension geometry entirely — shipped raw and unpainted so you can finish it to match your truck. Running the system is a 1/3 HP, 100% duty cycle compressor with a 40 amp relay and a 3-gallon, 5-port stainless steel tank rated to 1000 PSI. Control comes from an Active Air pneumatic paddle switch controller with a 150 PSI lighted gauge, non-electric and straightforward to operate, backed by a 120 PSI pressure switch that maintains air automatically. A 50 ft roll of 1/4" air hose and a full fitting pack, tank drain plug included, complete the setup.
Plan ahead for one structural change: the bed needs to be notched to clear the new cross member this kit adds. Given the scope of swapping in a rear 4-link alongside a full air management system, we strongly recommend a professional installer for this build.
