Product Description
Ford Fairlane 1955-1970 Complete Air Ride Suspension Lowering System Kit
For sale: a complete air ride suspension system built for the 1955-1970 Ford Fairlane (also fits the Ford Torino from the same era), engineered by True Suspension to lower the car up to 4-5", with a suggested drive height of 3" below stock — enough drop to make a real statement without sitting so low you lose practical ride height for daily driving.
Unlike our bolt-on kits, this Fairlane system requires welding and modification: front air spring mounts weld on at the top and bolt on at the bottom, and the rear setup goes further, with weld-on mounts positioned under and at the rear of the axle to maximize suspension travel. The rear end gets a heavy-duty triangulated 4-link, also weld-on, built specifically to improve traction and handling rather than just support the air springs. A front shock relocation kit with 2 gas shocks and upper weld-on relocation brackets keeps your shocks functioning at the new ride height. The air spring setup itself mixes 2 D2 series springs with 2 of the larger 2600 series springs, a different combination than our other classic kits use.
Powering the system is a 1/3 HP, 100% duty cycle compressor with a 40 amp relay, feeding a 3-gallon, 5-port stainless steel tank rated to 1000 PSI. Control comes through a non-electric Active Air pneumatic paddle switch with a 150 PSI lighted gauge, backed by a 120 PSI pressure switch that maintains air automatically. A 50 ft roll of 1/4" air hose and a complete fitting pack, including the tank drain plug, finish out the kit.
Given the amount of welding and fabrication this system requires, we strongly recommend a professional installer with the right equipment perform this install.
